The Esther Gitlow Towers is a five story Fire-Proof building with two elevators; it features a security system with closed circuit TV monitors at the front door.  Each apartment has 2 medical alert cords.  Each apartment offers 1 bedroom, a living room-dinning room combination, kitchen, and bathroom.  They are suitable for one or two people.  Twelve units have been specially designed to accommodate the mobility impaired residents. There is two full time maintained staff who are very attentive to the residents needs and complete repairs and work orders daily.  In addition, our facility has room for the tenant to have their own parking space and the parking lot is plowed and salted by our staff.  We take pride in maintaining the building and grounds at Esther Gitlow Towers.

All residents are served five nutritious dinners per week (Dietary Laws Observed) in a congregate dinning room.  This great meal program is provided for a cost of $155.00 per month and is a mandatory addendum to the lease. The meal program also serves as a great social outlet with other residents and guests.

Other services that are available to the residents include recreational activities, resident clubs, full time service coordinator to help with benefits and entitlements, grocery stores, and downtown.  We have a computer lab with high speed internet available to the residents,  a discounted beauty parlor, vending machines, and a variety of religious services.

Esther Gitlow Towers has tenant run, floor monitor groups which check on the residents daily if they desire this service.  The service coordinator supervises this program as well as other resident programs.  Programs include, chair aerobics,'Grand-Pal' program with local school children, current events group discussions, jazz listening program, karaoke,knitting club, tenant association club,nightly games including cards and bingo one a week.  We also have a pool table for the residents to use,and monthly birthday celebrations in the dining room.  We have a special machine for the visually impaired residents which magnify's books and other literature.  Because of our close proximity to the Suffern Library we have a book and movie club which allows the residents easy access to rentals and returns.

The Rockland County Jewish Home for the Aged, who is the sponsor of the Esther Gitlow Towers, has monthly parties and seasonal parties for the residents.  During the winter holiday party the board of directors picks 2 of the most cooperative tenants of the year to be honored.
