Rockland Home for the Aged/Esther Gitlow Towers is a senior citizen facility which is subsidized by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. The rent is calculated on a sliding scale based on income and medical bills. HUD also gives the residents of The Rockland Home for the Aged/Esther Gitlow Towers a $48.00 utility allowance every month. Below is a list of other requirements to be considered for residency.

Applicants must be over the age of 62 or have a mobility impaired disability which would require a specially designed mobility impaired designed apartment.

To receive Federal subsides your annual gross income cannot exceed 32,100 for one person or 36,700 for two people.

All applicants must be a citizen of the United States or have legal status in the U.S.
ALL APPLICANTS WILL HAVE THEIR CREDIT AND CHECK WRITTING HISTORY CHECKED AS WELL AS THEIR CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECKED
